Digital Data...


To work high speed digital data, you will need an ID-1 radio and a computer. In the high speed digital data mode, your ID-1 acts as a LAN extender to access the Internet thru the gateway internet connection. Here are the three steps to set up your ID-1 and computer to use the high speed digital data mode.

ID-1 CONFIGURATION


Program your ID-1 to operate on 1299.7000 simplex (RPS). Set the Mode to DD. Set the callsign parameters as shown below:

COMPUTER CONFIGURATION


You will need to set your computer's IP to your D-STAR IP address. If you have registered on a gateway and have "added a terminal", go to your gateway's Personal Information page to get your D-STAR IP address.

Set your computer's IP, Netmask, Gateway and DNS parameters as shown below:

ID-1 / COMPUTER CONNECTION


1) Connect the ID-1 Ethernet plug to your computer’s Ethernet port. Use a “straight” cable for extra length.
2) Disable “TXInh” (Transmit Inhibit) on the ID-1.
3) You may now access the Internet through your computer’s browser.
